Full Job Description
Job Description

In this position...

We are establishing the marketing function from the ground up, and this is the role that builds it. This is a job for a hands-on B2B marketer with the skills to develop and execute the marketing strategy for Ford Energy alongside our communications and sales teams: turning real technical strength into awareness, consideration, and pipeline with commercial energy buyers.

This role has potential to grow as Ford Energy scales. The scope of this job expands with the business, and the person who succeeds in it will be architecting the function they can eventually lead. You will be closer to the product, the sales team, and the customer than any marketing job at a company this size normally allows.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do...
  • Technical product marketing (the core of the job): Work with engineering and product teams to translate technical specifications into clear value propositions, marketing collateral, and sales tools that commercial buyers act on.
  • Demand generation: Plan and run the campaigns that strengthen the pipeline - targeted outreach, direct marketing, and digital - working with the Ford Energy sales team and measured on contributions to success.
  • Events and industry presence: Choose and execute the small number of trade shows and industry association moments that put Ford Energy in front of real buyers and make each one work harder than a booth.
  • Content and channels: Invent and own direct-to-customer channels - including web content, social media, newsletters, paid ads and in-person experiences - keeping the drumbeat fully integrated with our communications strategy.
  • Measurement: Set baseline and target metrics across awareness, engagement, and conversion; report plainly on what is working and ditch what is not.
  • Must be able to work 4 days a week in Dearborn, MI

Qualifications

You will have...
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5 to 7 years of B2B marketing experience: Meaningful time as a marketer for energy, industrial, infrastructure, or technical hardware/software products.
  • 2 to 3 years of managerial experience
  • Product marketing depth: You have taken a technical product and turned it into positioning, collateral, and sales tools that a commercial team actually used. You can show us the work.
  • A builder's track record: You have shipped campaigns and programs end to end with small teams and small budgets, ideally in a startup or a new business unit inside a larger company.
  • Strong writing: You can distill complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear, persuasive language for executives and technical buyers.

Even better, you will have...
  • BESS, renewables, EV charging or grid-adjacent experience: You do not need to arrive as an expert in battery chemistry. You do need the learning agility to become fluent quickly.
  • Working familiarity with tools: Ability to automate processes using AI and experience in CRM platforms like Salesforce.
  • Strong collaboration: Bias for working together across functions and with external parties, including suppliers.

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder...or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work-life that works for you, including:
• Immediate medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage
• Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care, and more
• Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more
• Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
• Tuition assistance
• Established and active employee resource groups
• Paid time off for individual and team community service
• A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year's Day
• Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time.

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $115,500-$218,100.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on the candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility, and competitive market value.
