Full Job Description
We are looking for a **Marketing Analytics Engineer** to help build the next generation of marketing data, AI, and analytics capabilities. In this role, you'll strengthen the data foundation that powers AI-assisted answers to everyday marketing questions. You'll maintain and expand the marketing data models behind our dashboards and AI agents, while helping validate that these agents deliver accurate, well-grounded responses before they reach stakeholders. Our marketing data is modeled in Snowflake through a layered dbt project. You'll help evolve and govern the canonical data objects that underpin marketing decisions-including lifecycle, attribution touchpoints, campaign engagement, and funnel conversion-ensuring consistent, trusted definitions power our dashboards, KPI reporting, and AI agents. This role collaborates closely with the Director of Marketing Intelligence & AI Transformation and partners across marketing, sales, IT, and finance to keep data and AI agent outputs aligned to a single source of truth. **What you will do** - Maintain and extend marketing data models in Snowflake, ensuring consistent, well-documented definitions for lifecycle, attribution, and account-level fields - Work within an established layered dbt project, following existing conventions for model structure, testing, documentation, and code review - Build and maintain self-service dashboards and semantic models in Power BI and Snowflake Intelligence/Cortex - Investigate and resolve data quality issues at the model level to prevent recurring downstream problems - Support the KPI and scorecard framework, keeping metric definitions consistent across funnel, attribution, and ROI reporting - Review marketing AI agent outputs against source data, flagging accuracy and hallucination risk before insights reach stakeholders - Define and document what AI agents can answer autonomously versus what requires analyst review, including escalation paths - Partner with Marketing Technology & Automation to assess how platform changes affect downstream models and agent accuracy - Translate stakeholder reporting and forecasting needs into durable, self-service-ready data structures Location: Plano, TX or Boise, ID. No sponsorship or relocation offered for this role. **The skills you bring** You must have: - At least 4 years in data/BI, marketing analytics, or analytics engineering with hands-on ownership of data models or metric definitions - Advanced SQL and experience building reusable data models in Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse - Bachelor's degree in marketing, IT, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field - Experience extending an existing modular transformation codebase (dbt or comparable) - Working understanding of B2B marketing data - campaign metadata, lead lifecycle, attribution, CRM outcomes, and funnel conversion - Experience building and maintaining dashboards (Power BI preferred) - Comfort evaluating AI/LLM-generated output against source data - Strong diagnostic and critical thinking skills; ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams It would be nice if you also have: - Python for data transformation, validation, and automation - Familiarity with dbt, version control, CI/CD, and orchestration tooling (Airflow or comparable) - Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM and marketing automation platforms (Marketo or comparable) - Experience with semantic layers, data catalogs, or AI-readable metadata frameworks **DISCLAIMER:** The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees in this position.
