If you are a Market Intelligence professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by shaping a high-quality project funnel that drives commercial success across Emerson Measurement Systems & Solutions (MSS). As part of the commercial ecosystem, you will perform high-volume, multi-source research throughout the workday to identify, qualify, and develop capital project opportunities across the Oil & Gas and adjacent industries, transforming market signals into actionable insights that enable successful pursuit execution. This role focuses on North America capital project activity and works closely with Project Pursuit Specialists to ensure alignment and effectiveness.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Monitor capital spend announcements and project developments across Oil & Gas, LNG, refining, gas processing, pipelines, terminals, and petrochemical markets to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Detect early-stage project signals through multiple intelligence sources, including operator activity, EPC engagement, and market announcements.
  • Track project opportunities across their lifecycle, ensuring visibility into timing, scope, and investment trends.
  • Qualify opportunities using defined criteria such as strategic fit, project maturity, solution relevance, and commercial attractiveness.
  • Translate raw market intelligence into structured, actionable opportunity briefs ready for pursuit execution.
  • Determine optimal timing and readiness for handoff to Project Pursuit Specialists to maximize win probability.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Pursuit Specialists to refine qualification standards, data requirements, and opportunity readiness definitions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project tracking data, including operator and EPC alignment, geography, capital estimates, project stage, and relevant MSS scope.
  • Develop structured market intelligence on EPCs and project ecosystems, including decision-making structures, execution hubs, and project award behaviors.
  • Produce regular insight reports on regional investment trends, capital spending outlooks, and operator and EPC activity patterns.
  • Translate data and insights into actionable recommendations that inform commercial strategy and opportunity prioritization.
  • Partner with commercial teams, strategic marketing, and product management to improve targeting, segmentation, and pipeline quality.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, petrochemical, or broader industrial markets
  • Understanding of capital project lifecycle phases such as FEED, EPC, and execution
  • Experience supporting project-driven sales or commercial organizations
  • Familiarity with EPC and operator dynamics and global capital investment trends
  • Experience building and maintaining structured databases or project tracking systems
