Job Description:

DTN is seeking a Market Data Manager to lead the collection, validation, analysis, and interpretation of financial market data across multiple asset classes. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, integrity, and usability of market data while establishing analytics best practices, governance standards, and operational processes that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

The ideal candidate combines deep financial market knowledge with strong analytical and leadership capabilities, enabling teams to deliver high-quality market data solutions, uncover actionable insights, and continuously improve data quality, reporting, and analytics frameworks.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Lead the collection, evaluation, and management of market data across multiple asset classes, including futures, futures options, equities, equity/index options, foreign exchange (FX), market statistics, spreads, and strategy spreads
  • Direct data exploration, statistical analysis, modeling, and trend analysis efforts to identify insights, anomalies, and business opportunities
  • Oversee the analysis of structured and unstructured market data and ensure methodologies remain accurate and effective
  • Establish and maintain procedures that ensure data accuracy, integrity, completeness, and consistency
  • Develop and oversee quality assurance processes that validate data inputs, mappings, and outputs
  • Manage proprietary cross-referencing and classification of market assets
  • Lead efforts to investigate and resolve market data issues, discrepancies, and reported errors
  • Guide the development of dashboards, reports, documentation, and stakeholder communications that support analytical findings
  • Establish standards and best practices for market data capture, structuring, governance, and usage
  • Partner with Development, Operations, Risk, and business stakeholders to improve data quality, workflows, and operational processes
  • Identify and prioritize enhancements to data models, analytics tools, reporting frameworks, and data management capabilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members while evaluating performance, addressing skill gaps, and supporting career growth


What You Will Bring to the Position
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments, including:
    • Futures and futures options
    • Equities and equity/index options
    • Foreign exchange (FX) markets
    • Market statistics and pricing data
    • Spreads and strategy spreads
  • Familiarity with market data vendors, exchanges, and market data distribution models
  • Knowledge of industry market data standards and conventions
  • Experience applying statistical analysis, modeling, and trend analysis techniques to large and complex datasets
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to establish processes, controls, and governance standards while exercising sound judgment
  • Proficiency with SQL, Excel, data visualization tools, and analytics platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience leading teams through a balance of coaching, mentoring, guidance, and accountability

Compensation
The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $97,000 and $128,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
