Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Market Data Analyst to join the UTP Plan Administration team. This role is responsible for supporting the real-time integrity, delivery, and quality of mission-critical UTP market data feeds.

The Market Data Analyst will support day-to-day market data customer account operations, including usage reporting, billing collections, compliance coordination, client inquiries, data administration, and critical transitions to new plan administrators. The role requires strong analytical, technical, communication, and customer service skills in a fast-paced remote/hybrid operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in managing complex datasets, including usage, billing, and compliance information, while proactively identifying and escalating discrepancies or anomalies.
  2. Support the daily operations of global market data customer accounts.
  3. Provide timely and accurate customer service related to reporting, billing, contracts, data licensing, products, and applicable exchange policies.
  4. Assist customers with compliance related to market data policies, usage reporting requirements, and payment collection frameworks.
  5. Maintain accurate customer and usage reporting records, including quarterly updates to the Emergency Contact database.
  6. Provide customers with information and hands-on support related to data transitions to new plan administrators, such as the CT Plan.
  7. Utilize database querying tools and visualization software to prepare metric reports tracking ingestion health, uptime statistics, and systemic latency.
  8. Identify root causes of business process issues and recommend opportunities for process improvement.
  9. Document operational runbooks and develop automation updates to improve efficiency and scalability.


Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  2. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  3. Strong Excel skills, including lookup functions, pivot tables, and macros/mail merge.
  4. Experience working with HTML and artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  6. Strong conflict management and customer service skills.
  7. Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Positive, professional, reliable, responsive, and proactive approach when working with customers and colleagues.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Three years of market data administration experience.
