Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY

The Market Credit Analyst performs daily monitoring of market participant liabilities and exposures, manages collateral postings and transactions, evaluates new participant applications, and enforces compliance to Credit-related requirements under the ERCOT Protocols. The analyst also serves as a key point of contact for market participants on credit-related matters or inquiries.

JOB DUTIES
  • Reviews and monitors market participant reports and exposures daily
  • Issues requests for additional collateral and ensures compliance to collateral requirements
  • Performs collateral management tasks including maintaining all collateral documentation and records
  • Ensures market participants meet payment deadlines and submit all required documentation on time, while consistently enforcing applicable remedies for late payments or noncompliance.
  • Processes applications of prospective ERCOT market participants, ensuring compliance with all applicable credit requirements under the ERCOT Protocols.
  • Reviews the financial position and credit exposure of market participants in support of established credit risk management objectives
  • Corresponds with market participants regarding various credit-related matters and inquiries
  • Monitors and enforces market participant compliance to all other Protocol requirements
  • Coordinates with other departments in performing various departmental tasks
  • Supports Credit Finance Sub Group meetings and activities
EXPERIENCE
  • Level 1: requires no minimum level of experience
  • Level 2 requires minimum 2 years work experience in business or finance-related fields

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's Degree : Finance, Accounting or related field (Required)
  • or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required

$83,000 - $115,000
