Market Access Consultant New York, NYSalary: $90,000 - $130,000, plus 10-15% bonus (depending on experience and level)About the roleAs a Market Access Consultant you will work on a variety of exciting projects, addressing key challenges in market access, pricing and reimbursement, medical affairs, and more. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that drive the commercialization of biopharmaceutical products and navigate the complexities of healthcare systems.
This position offers the opportunity to further deepen your expertise in healthcare strategy while supporting project delivery and providing meaningful insights that help our clients achieve their objectives. You will be mentored by a Project Manager and a Mentor who will provide ongoing guidance and feedback both on projects but also in terms of your general professional development.
As a more Senior Market Access Consultant, you are central to project delivery and success, working on complex project tasks, producing project deliverables, and contributing to ideas and recommendations. As an autonomous team member, you drive smaller projects or a workstream in larger projects, are comfortable in directly collaborating with clients as well as guiding and upskilling junior team members. You also work closely with managers and partners, not only for project delivery but also in business development.
What You'll Do- Conduct research and data collection to gain a thorough understanding of healthcare systems, stakeholder needs, and business challenges, such as market access, pricing and reimbursement, KOL engagement strategies, and product portfolio analysis.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis to extract actionable insights on clinical, humanistic, and economic product value, addressing disease-specific stakeholder needs and challenges.
- Support the development of engagement strategies for physicians, patients, payers, and policymakers to ensure successful commercialization and market adoption of biopharmaceutical products.
- Conduct interviews or moderate advisory boards with internal and external stakeholders, including client employees, management teams, and external experts.
- Prepare business presentations, communications, and training aids for internal and external client use.
As a more senior team member, you will become more involved in:- Leveraging expertise in diverse country healthcare systems, key stakeholder needs and perspectives and/or pharmaceutical industry capabilities & operations
- Defining recommendations and strategic implications to drive project conclusions. Working autonomously in designing, preparing, and facilitating client briefings, presentations, and workshops
- Preparing executive presentations, communications, and support material
- Actively developing and mentoring junior colleagues
- Supporting the senior team in business development efforts in drafting client proposal documents and nurture client relationships
What we're looking for:- 2-6 years consulting experience
- Expertise in Market Access, pricing and reimbursement and a strong understanding of the US healthcare system across all books of business and payer landscape would be highly desirable.
- A strong academic background, with a combination of science and business degrees being an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, coupled with a collaborative and relationship-driven mindset.
- A structured, results-oriented working style that's adaptable to dynamic environments.
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in additional languages being a plus. Japanese is highly desirable
- Authorisation to work in the United States (U.S. work eligibility required)
- Ability to work in our NYC office at a minimum of 2 days a week
As a senior consultant, you will also need: - Experience conducting payer interviews and leading projects conducting qualitative primary research with US payers and healthcare providers. This would include drafting interview guides, moderating discussions, and synthesizing transcript data into delivery materials.
- Experience with client engagement and running client meetings
- Experience developing or refining US specific payer value proposition or mapping our US Market Access pathways for new/innovative products would be highly desirable.
