Full Job Description
Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering. The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations.

Key Duties of the Manufacturing Support Team Member:

  • Own and manage strategic, critical, and tactical supplier relationships to achieve best value and identifying and managing supply chain risks.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities for a range of engineered products.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance to meet schedule, quality, cost and technical requirements, implementing corrective actions and improvement plans as required.
  • Act as the primary interface between suppliers and internal customers, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, managing expectations, and influencing outcomes at multiple organizational levels.
  • Driving continuous improvement within procurement and the wider supply chain.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively manage stakeholder expectations at a variety of levels.
  • Use Enterprise Resource planning tools to conduct logistics planning, management, and tracking activities.
  • Evaluate material issues/concerns to determine impacts to business operations
  • Identify schedule delivery improvement opportunities with a focus on early and on-time delivery of materials to support the manufacturing success.
  • Generate reports and develop metric reports to provide performance status to leadership teams.
  • Conduct contingency schedule planning to determine best path forward and mitigate hardware delays.
  • Understand and communicate the plan for deliverable hardware including critical path, constraints, risks, and opportunities.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance, but not required to start.

  • Proven track record of adhering to procurement procedures and processes, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely execution of all procurement activities.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning software (i.e. SAP). Basic knowledge of SAP for creating and tracking Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience using data to develop metrics.
  • Capable of working in a fast paced, demanding environment, providing independent thinking, problem resolution, and action with minimal direct oversight by management.


Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $67400.00 - $125200.00

The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
