Manufacturing Supervisor

As a manufacturing supervisor you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Ensuringa safe working environment through modeling safe behaviors, leadingaudits/inspections,correctingunsafe behaviors, conductingsafety meetings, and utilizing proper work methods, procedures and equipment
- Providingdirect supervision to production and/or hourly employees
- Handlingshift administrative activities such as time/absence reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, overtime, etc.
- Evaluatingemployeesperformance and provide feedback
- Driving continuous improvement in safety, productivity, quality and spending
- Planning daily work schedules, determine priorities, allocate work assignments, and regulate production processes to meet specific daily production requirements
- Championing lean manufacturing efforts and projects
- Reports to aGeneral Supervisor with responsibility for operations and employees in the same plantareasto be on-call (interest question)
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degreeor higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of two (2) yearofexperiencein a manufacturing environment in a private, public, government or military environment
-OR-
- High School diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and five (5) years ofexperiencein a manufacturing environment in a private, public, government or military environment
AND
- One(1) combinedyear of supervisory and/orleadership experience
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Bachelors degree or higher in a science or engineering disciplinefrom an accredited institution
- Three (3)years of supervisoryexperience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with hazardous materials
- Experience leading cross functional teams
- Self-directed and detail oriented
- Ability to create, lead and work in a team atmosphere
- Ability to drive and influence positive change
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $95,591 - $116,834, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
