What you will be doing:
As the Manufacturing Planner, your responsibilities will include the following:
• Design and implement innovative production control strategies that keep projects on track and on budget
• Solve complex problems and deliver practical outcomes, turning problems into opportunities
• Collaborate cross functionally with manufacturing, engineering, global supply chain, integrated planning, finance and quality counterparts to identify and react to changing needs; pivot quickly when priorities shift
• Maintain schedules and communicate potential impacts based on regular page and line meetings
• Support multiple program needs to achieve critical schedule milestones by navigating competing priorities and maintaining momentum
• Perform lead time analysis on procured parts, ensuring rapid part receipts
• Review, comment and approve Demand Requirements Load
• Ensure Windchill / MPMLink communicates accurately with SAP S4
• Travel may be required to support and communicate with other production sites
• Work outside of the normal operating hours may be required
Basic Qualifications5+ Years in position working in a support position, product development from design inception to product launch.
The preferred candidate will have worked across numerous products, product types and teams across different elements (companies or business divisions).
Candidate must have significant experience working hands-on in an operations / shopfloor environment and with processes to include PWA (printed wiring assembly), cables & harness and product integrations of electrical assembly.
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
Strategic thinker with lean manufacturing focus with demonstrated experience.
Experience and understanding of all aspects of Production Planning and Control including Master Production Scheduling, Demand and Supply control and optimization, Material Flow controls and management.
Desired skills• Green Belt trained/certified or Lean 6S Black Belt trained/certified
• Master's Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
• Knowledge of industry wide best practices and processes for managing material flow throughout the entire production supply chain
• Inventory control knowledge and experience
• Experience working with rapid prototyping, advanced manufacturing, production/development programs, creating new processes/procedures and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
• Problem solver for rapid changing development environment, capable of collaborating with multiple functions to solve complex problems and deliver creative solutions
• Ability to understand Windchill/MPMLink and the association with SAP
• Previous Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) knowledge and experience
Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
