As a Manufacturing Operations Manager, your responsibilities will be:

Operational Leadership
  • Lead Assembly, Test, and Machining operations to safely achieve customer delivery commitments and operational objectives.
  • Drive performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, and People (SQDCIP) metrics.
  • Establish and maintain daily management systems that provide visibility to operational performance, constraints, and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure effective execution of production schedules while optimizing labor, equipment, and material resources.
  • Partner closely with Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to ensure alignment of operational priorities.
  • Lead escalation and recovery efforts related to production disruptions, material shortages, quality issues, and capacity constraints.


Safety & Compliance
  • Champion a strong safety-first culture by setting clear expectations and ensuring compliance with all OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks through audits, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
  • Foster a workplace environment that prioritizes employee well-being and continuous safety improvement.


Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead the development and deployment of the site's Lean Manufacturing System.
  • Champion Lean principles including Daily Management, Standard Work, Visual Management, Problem Solving, Leader Standard Work, and Kaizen.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, inventory reduction, and lead time improvement.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making and root cause problem-solving methodologies to sustain operational gains.
  • Coach leaders and employees in Lean thinking and continuous improvement behaviors.


Value Stream Leadership
  • Own value stream performance and drive improvements in flow, lead time, throughput, and schedule attainment.
  • Champion Value Stream Mapping activities to identify waste, bottlenecks, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to improve end-to-end execution from order release through shipment.
  • Support strategic capacity planning and operational readiness to meet current and future business demand.
  • Drive initiatives that improve responsiveness in a high-mix, configure-to-order manufacturing environment.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
  • 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience within a discrete manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading operations within a high-mix, configure-to-order, or engineer-to-order manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and driving operational performance improvements.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and operational excellence systems.
  • Experience managing complex production schedules, material constraints, and capacity planning challenges.
  • Legal authorizaton to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future


Preferred Qualification That Set You Apart:

  • Master's Degree or MBA.
  • ASQ (or equivalent) Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
  • Experience developing and deploying Lean Manufacturing Systems.
  • Experience within industrial equipment, valves, automation, flow control, aerospace, or other complex discrete manufacturing industries.
  • Experience leading value stream transformations
