Full Job Description
Essential Job Duties:

  • Responsible for performing all duties safely, according to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Must wear appropriate PPE for all tasks that require them.
  • Actively work with Safety Committee personnel to identify and eliminate possible safety hazards
  • Drive 5S Housekeeping program, continuous improvement, creativity, and other company initiatives
  • Support Quality program and initiatives
  • Manage Supervisors, Leads and Co-leads of various manufacturing areas
  • Ensure all Manufacturing areas work a highly efficient manner at all times
  • Interviews candidates, makes recommendations for hiring and terminations, conducts performance evaluations and issues disciplinary actions when required
  • Uses sound judgement, data, and experience to make decisions
  • Develop and communicate manufacturing schedule and plan
  • Ensure subordinates communicate and follow procedures for the proper processing of raw materials, parts and any other items required.
  • Champion use, improvement and training of ERP/MRP system as it pertains to Inventory accuracy and other business needs
  • Schedule and attend meetings as required, provide accurate information, provide solutions to challenges, and follow-up
  • Create, present and communicate data and reports as needed
  • As required, be able to travel for training, trade shows, etc.
  • Support other departments as required in order to meet company's overall objectives.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a degree or certification in Manufacturing Technology. May substitute degree or certification for a combination of training, education and/or work experience.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other similar methodologies preferred.
  • Requires 10 or more years of experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Experience with Commercial or Residential cooking products is a plus
  • Must possess interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with Hestan employees as well as outside vendors, customers and contractors.
  • Requires leadership abilities and training experience.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English and follow directions.
  • Ability to create spreadsheets, word documents, charts, graphs and analyze data.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems, as well as implementation and support
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing by use of email.
  • Requires a valid California driver's license.
  • Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the job duties.


Working Conditions:

Work is performed primarily in office and manufacturing facility, although outdoor tasks are sometimes required. Lighting is artificial. Individual will some exposure to dust, excessive noise, heat, cold, fumes and chemicals. Physical demands include standing, walking, and bending over. Both work days, as well as hours of work may vary, according to the requirements of the operation.

Salary Range 105,000-115,000 DOE
