About the roleThe Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations at the Humble facility while driving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and continuous improvement objectives. The role provides frontline leadership to production employees across fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, and related manufacturing activities while supporting regional collaboration, operational excellence initiatives, and customer commitments. The position partners closely with Engineering, Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, Project Management, and Operations teams across the Americas to improve throughput, optimize capacity utilization, reduce waste, strengthen execution, and support profitable growth.
Essential Functions- Lead daily manufacturing activities across fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, and related production work centers.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures.
- Allocate labor and resources to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
- Monitor manufacturing performance and address issues affecting safety, quality, productivity, or delivery.
- Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing practices including 5S, visual management, standard work, Kaizen, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions related to scrap, rework, downtime, bottlenecks, and schedule misses.
- Partner with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability through TPM, preventive maintenance, and downtime reduction programs.
- Support capacity planning, labor utilization, backlog management, and workload balancing activities.
- Develop employee capability through training, coaching, cross-training, and skills matrix development.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, planning, and supply chain teams across the Americas to share best practices and support regional performance improvement.
- Partner with Project Management, Customer Service, and Sales teams to ensure manufacturing priorities align with customer requirements and project commitments.
- Support implementation of operational excellence initiatives, process improvements, and productivity enhancement programs.
Qualifications- Technical degree, Associate degree, Bachelor degree, or equivalent manufacturing experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience in fabrication, welding, assembly, machining, or industrial operations.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience required.
- Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
- Experience interpreting manufacturing drawings, production metrics, and operational data.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, IFS, or equivalent preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, TPM, OEE, or other operational excellence certifications preferred.
