Role SummaryThe Manufacturing Manager 2 will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a manufacturing facility including operations, safety, employee development, logistics and quality of a large and complex manufacturing facility. This position will also collaborate with other prefabrication functions to evaluate feasibility of new project types and implement changes, mentoring manufacturing leadership locally and in other facilities, ensuring professional growth. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core- Leads all aspects of the company's safety culture and creates awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others. Investigates safety incidents and retrains staff as needed
- Oversees daily operations within assigned area of responsibility, ensuring product quality and timeline requirements are met and implementing corrective action if needed
- Develops and refines production schedules responding to changes in demand, material flows, business need and unexpected changes (i.e. weather)
- Manages a production team and specialized staff focused on employee performance, development, and business efficiency
- Track key performance indicators for production operations, making corrections or recommending improvements as needed
- Leads various meetings including daily standup and prefabrication group update meetings
- Manages inventory of various raw materials and supplies to ensure uninterrupted production
- Develops improvements to processes across the organization, enhancing efficiency and safety
- Partners with subject matter experts and other prefabrication functional areas to ensure optimal production metrics are maintained
- Ensures functional area maintains compliance with all local, state and federal regulations
- Utilizes technology to improve the management and performance of the production team
Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core- Manages a large production department or an entire medium-sized production facility
- Makes decisions on factors that impact operational schedules including maintenance, raw material allocation, and scheduling
- Collaborates with leadership to define strategic plans out to three years
- Participates in internal and external meetings, addressing concerns and reinforcing client partnerships
- Utilizes production forecasting metrics to anticipate demand, aligning schedules and procurement to meet anticipated demand across multiple scopes of work
- Identifies what data metrics are needed for a production team to ensure success and works with a cross functional team to identify how new data is captured
- Identifies and works with leadership to implement team initiatives in support of the larger group's stated Outcomes and Key Results

- Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, both internally and externally
Education- Bachelor's degree in management, engineering or a related field (Preferred)
- In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
Experience- 8+ years commercial construction, manufacturing, or fabrication shop experience (Required)
- 5+ years people leadership experience (Required)
Working Environment- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold)
- Maintenance facility environment, may be exposed to varying temperatures, moving equipment, noise and exhaust fumes
- May require working overtime as needed
- May require use of respirator
- Must be comfortable working at projected heights and narrow workspace
