What you will do:Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering Manager will be responsible for supporting Engineering requirements within Operations. You'll lead a team of product & process engineers/technicians that support all aspects of production of existing designs, as well as implementing and integrating novel materials and approaches for manufacturing of Anti-scatter grids, Ceramic cores supporting turbine airfoil and component production. TOMO Direct Metal applications.
- This position at Mikro Systems (subsidiary of Pratt & Whitney) in Charlottesville, VA. The work associated with this position will be onsite.
- Develops and improves products and facilitates manufacturing operations.
- Identifying and implementing new manufacturing processes and associated equipment.
- Supplying resources for addressing real time problem resolution on the shop floor.
- Monitoring product yield and cost and driving improvements to both.
- Supporting MRL progression of all products.
- Supporting LRIP and transition from design and development phases into production phase.
- Reviewing designs, drawings, and working plans to improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.
- Provides technical leadership and assists in training less experienced engineers to help them diagnose and solve problems and build capabilities.
- Implementing process certification methodologies into all processes.
Qualifications you must have:- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering , or related degree with 8 years of engineering or other relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications we prefer:- Experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
- Ceramic and metal powder experience in the production of product. Ideal applicant has experience with epoxies and molding/injection molding experience.
- Familiar with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
