Full Job Description
Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Excellence Manager is responsible for the development, alignment, and execution of a factory-wide performance improvement strategy. The role acts as the center of expertise and key driver for Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Industrial Performance activities in the factory.

Key Responsibilities:
Directly reporting to the Factory Manager, the role is accountable for NCE Implementation Strategy, Continuous Improvement, and Industrial Performance responsibilities within the factory:
• Responsible for development, competence building, and health of Industrial Performance systems & routines, including Labor utilization studies
• Accountable for data reliability, SAP BOM/Master Data, planning rate reviews, Asset Intensity and utilization systems, Nestle Standards for Manufacturing Performance
• Leads development of Strategic plan (OMP) and improvement strategy in the Factory
• Ensures the right cascading of priorities and measures from the Market to the factory
• Defines and embeds NCE projects and initiatives into the Factory objectives and align Factory Leadership Team towards the plan
• Establishes and drives effective Factory governance to ensure that NCE implementation contributes to delivering business results
• Supports Factory competency building plan that ensures NCE is developing autonomy at all levels of the organization.
• Stewards, trains, supports and coaches the Factory Leadership Team and Local Leadership Teams in Manufacturing competencies (e.g. GA, FI, TPM 7+4) behaviors and applicable manufacturing standards
• Develops competency of Local Leadership Teams and Factory Leadership Teams, supporting them to apply methodologies to improve and sustain results (e.g. all NCE methodologies, Value Added Activities, Workload studies, etc.)
• Conducts, sponsors and/or coaches specific projects to support results improvement around priorities established by the Factory
• Understands and ensures together with Factory Cost Controller an overall competence of Costing Standards for Manufacturing
• Collaborate with Market Manufacturing Excellence Director to drive NCE

Experience and Education Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in food science, Engineering or related degree required.
• Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification desired
• 8+ years in a manufacturing or continuous improvement environment, desired.
• Food, CPG or Pharmaceutical experience preferred which includes:
• 2+ Years of direct production/maintenance floor experience
• 2+ Years working with factory management/leadership team
• 2+ Years of project management, loss intelligence, & advanced problem solving
• 2+ Years working in Goal Alignment/TPM/Lean implementation

Skills:
• Strong knowledge of digital tools including Power BI, SAP Master Data, MES and other visualization tools/data analytics experience preferred
• Strong leadership in cultural change management & managing multiple complex priorities and business connections
• Ability to understand/learn new manufacturing processes and quickly identify their challenges and areas of opportunity
• Experience in developing Line labor standards, Budget preparation/review, and line capability/speed studies
• Advanced knowledge of TPM
• Strong Problem-Solving capabilities
• Demonstrated track record of leading changes in difficult environment
• Demonstrated track record and competence on TPM and Lean and/or World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies and implementation.
• Cultural change agent working with hourly operators and senior stakeholders
• Project Management capabilities

The approximate pay range for this position is $125,000 to $145,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
