As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, your role will lead development, optimization, and standardization of manufacturing or operational processes to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. This role manages a team of process engineers, drives continuous improvement initiatives, supports new products or process introduction, and partners cross-functionally with operations, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and leadership teams to achieve business goals.

What you will do:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of process engineers and technical specialists.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, throughput, and cost reduction.
  • Analyze existing manufacturing or business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste.
  • Develop and implement standardized work, process controls, and best practices across operations using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM / DFA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly), FMEA, 3P (Production, Preparation Process), 7-Ways, and Lean Six Sigma Methodology.
  • Partner with production, quality, maintenance, EHS, supply chain, and product engineering teams to resolve technical and operational issues.
  • Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, facility changes, and process technology implementations.
  • Oversee root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations, downtime, scrap, and quality issues.
  • Ensure processes meet regulatory, safety, environmental, and company compliance requirements.
  • Use data, KPIs, and statistical methods to monitor process capability and drive decision-making.
  • Support new product introductions, process validations, and production readiness activities.
  • Manage budgets, project timelines, and resource planning for engineering initiatives.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities and digital manufacturing improvements where appropriate.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Report on performance trends, project status, and improvement results to leadership.


What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or operations improvement.
  • 2+ years of people leadership or team management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process optimization, and continuous improvement methods.
  • Experience with lean principles and techniques to include Visual Management, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Cycle Time Reduction and Process Balancing, Yokoten, 5S, Set Up Reduction (SMED), and Kanban.
  • Familiarity with capital project execution, equipment qualification, and production support.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency with ERP, MES, data analysis, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • PLC Programming and Automation knowledge is a plus.

  • Ability to use such management-leadership techniques such as; project mgt., objective development and project review disciplines.
  • Strong leadership skills to drive engineering principles and processes.
  • Knowledge of new model launch requirements and processes to ensure flawless launch goals.
  • PC Skills: Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint and MS Project.
    • Experience in 2D/3D Modeling software (AutoCAD, Pro-E) is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Requires cross functional communication, simultaneous engineering and reporting.
  • Ability to resolve multiple conflicts between widely varying personalities.
  • Demonstrated implementation of root cause analysis and solutions.
