The Manufacturing Engineering Manager for Wakefield Thermals corporate flagship facility leads the manufacturing engineering function to support operational excellence, productivity improvements, quality enhancement, cost reduction, and new product introduction. This role is responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing machining technologies, supporting capital investments, and ensuring efficient production methods that meet customer, regulatory, and business requirements.
This position requires a driven individual with strong knowledge of engineering principles, hands-on experience in a complex and fast paced machining environment and exceptional leadership capabilities.

- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of Manufacturing Engineers, New Product Development Engineers, Programmers & Manufacturing Technicians.
- Liaise with other department heads (Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, EH&S, HR) to ensure alignment of manufacturing objectives with overall company goals.
- Serve as the technical expert in machining and tooling and be the point of contact for manufacturing engineering issues, providing guidance and support to resolve complex problems
- Oversee all production processes, including the creation, maintenance, and improvement of process documentation, ensuring adherence to quality and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale New Products from prototype to full production.
- Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance production processes and overall operational efficiency.
- Develop and execute strategic plans related to Engineering to enhance production capabilities, incorporating new technologies and methodologies.
- Analyze production metrics and performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, providing regular updates on engineering projects and process improvements.
- Maintain department performance metrics.
- Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and accountability within the manufacturing engineering department
REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and or Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar engineering discipline required. Advanced degree is highly desirable.
- 10 + years' experience in a dynamic leadership Engineering role within a complex machine centric environment.
- 5+ years' direct hands on experience supporting CNC machining, assembly, fabrication, or precision manufacturing disciplines.
