Your main responsibilities

Elevator Products Corporation is looking for a Sr Manufacturing Engineer to support Operational Excellence of the business. The candidate will participate and lead cross functional teams for developing and executing short and long term action plans for improving safety, quality and productivity of existing and newly developed product.
• Support industrialization efforts and change management activities within the organization for new and existing products.
• Review and validate proposed product changes and new product implementation.
• Propose, plan, implement and support activities aimed at efficiency improvements and best in class manufacturing practices through process optimization and/or product development cost reduction projects by identifying opportunities and executing.
• Utilize organization's Quality and Productivity metrics to identify opportunities and track the impact of implementations.
• Support the application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tool sets.
• Support planning and execution of Kaizen events across the facility to support continuous improvement opportunities
• Implement defect prevention procedures and/or processes in product design or application.
• Develop and maintain standard work instructions and other manufacturing documentation.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing BOMs within MRP systems.
• Develop and maintain Variant Configuration within MRP systems.
• Analyze new equipment and process technologies for potential application in elevator and escalator products.
• Support general cost reduction projects by identifying opportunities and executing.
• Cooperation with significant interfaces such as: Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Customer Installation Expert, Customer Field Project Manager and Product/Tool/Process Management.
• Support Engineering analysis in solving complex product design, application, manufacturing, installation and service problems.
• Act as technical product and process support for various activities and initiatives across the facility.
• Analyze and solve complex product design, application, manufacturing, installation and service problems.

Base Salary $82,900 - $103,600

The above represents the typical salary range for this position. Revisions to the range may be considered based on your experience, education, location, demonstrated skills, and alignment with business priorities. Please note that the compensation listed reflects only base salary and does not include commissions or longer-term incentives.

Salary range may differ based on the final geographic location of the position.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's in engineering
  • ELEC/MECH Engineering, drawing and BOM
  • Manufacturing process, equipment, routing
  • Multiple task management and organizational skills
  • Problem solving skills or lean six sigma
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively, proactively and independently as well as in a team-based environment
  • Ability to take a "Hands-On" approach to all tasks at hand
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Experience in one of more CAD systems (ie: AutoCAD, PTC Creo, SolidWorks)
  • Experience with MRP tool (SAP Preferred) preferred
  • Experience with SAP Variant Configuration preferred
  • Engineering understanding (mechanical and electrical; print reading)
  • Supply Chain and Industrialization knowhow and experience
  • Analytical competency (data mining, problem analysis; strong Excel skills)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • SAP knowledge of material management, including design and implementation
  • Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering Experience
