Full Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process Development & Optimization:
  • Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.

Quality Control & Assurance:

  • Implement and monitor quality control systems to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.

Production Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide technical support to production teams, resolving manufacturing problems and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Cost Reduction & Efficiency Improvement:

  • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs and improve overall efficiency.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Equipment & Tooling Management:

  • Select, install, and maintain manufacturing equipment and tooling.
  • Ensure equipment is calibrated correctly and maintained for optimal performance.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Implement Lean manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement methodologies.

Participate in and lead process improvement projects.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. without reasonable accommodation.
  • The ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Willingness to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots) as required.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Office/cubicle environment.
  • Shop environment includes welding, overhead cranes, and fork trucks.
  • Field on-track environment involving all weather conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BSME or Equivalent preferred.
  • 4-5 years of experience in mobile equipment's structural, mechanical, and hydraulic areas.
  • Proven knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001)
  • Solid Works or any other 3D modeling software experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with Lean production concepts.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be committed to customer service.
  • Able to work to demanding deadlines.
  • Work effectively as a team member.
  • Ability to facilitate and make decisions.
  • Work with a sense of urgency.
  • Knowledge of FMEA, Lean practices, Six Sigma and Value Engineering.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Must maintain a valid Driver's License and Passport and abide by our Corporate Fleet Policy
  • Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland, L.P.
