Summary

Help shape the future of advanced manufacturing at our state-of-the-art Technology and Manufacturing Center in Oak Ridge. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll drive the processes, innovation, and continuous improvement efforts that keep our production operations running at peak performance.

This role reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and plays a central part in supporting production targets for components, assemblies, and complex machines.

What You Will Do

Help engineer the heartbeat of production! In this role, you'll streamline how complex components are built, launched, and continuously improved. You'll lead smooth transitions from design to manufacturing, drive performance in quality and availability, and uncover smarter ways to machine, fixture, and optimize every step of the process. You'll shape future-state workflows, guide DFM efforts, keep projects on time and on budget, and ensure every operation meets the highest safety and compliance standards.

We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Strong background in Lean manufacturing
  • Experience with manufacturing quality systems (NQA-1, ISO-TS, AS9001)
  • Familiarity with AIAG Core Tools
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Q Clearance

A Successful Candidate Will Also have
  • An active Q or Top Secret clearance
  • Experience with statistical analysis
  • Background in composites manufacturing
  • Project management experience
  • Centrifuge manufacturing experience
  • Experience working with license-driven, safety-significant parts or systems

Pay

Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $78,581-130,969. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.
