Salary:

The annual salary for this position ranges from $95,000 - $115,000 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting annual salary within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.

Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer will oversee the technical development of the production lines. Their duties include setup and maintaining the assembly lines, developing testing procedures/equipment for quality assurance, and gathering statistics to assess efficiency.

Essential Functions:

Production Support & Improvement
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with production processes, equipment, and tools.
  • Coordinate with various departments to execute and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support New Production Introduction for production cells.
  • Address technical issues (i.e., tool, equipment, process, training, etc.) resulting in potential delays and/or higher cost of production parts.
  • Generate and implement sustainable processes using lean manufacturing principles to improve production.
  • Lead/Participate in Kaizen and problem-solving activities.

Continuous Improvement & Documentation
  • Initiate root-cause investigations, analysis, and documentation of downstream production failures.
  • Develop and implement improvement projects for the production process, equipment, and tools.
  • Provide information that supports manufacturing operations, such as performing historical data analysis, design, documentation, implementation, and validation of equipment and process changes.
  • Design, develop, implement, and support both hardware and software systems used in manufacturing.
  • Actively participate as technical lead for assigned projects.
  • Perform time studies on the line to understand opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and maintain Procedures/work instructions and requalification documents.
  • Route documents for approval and release.
  • Owner of final inspection and documenting checklist/reports.
  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time.


Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in engineering.

Experience:
  • 2-plus years of work-related experience in manufacturing.
  • Understands Lean Manufacturing principles and problem-solving methodology (DMAIC. Kaizen).
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Proficient with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Understand technical drawings and GD&T.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems.
