Full Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer II with Fluke, you will be tasked with analyzing, developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, manufacturing operation sequences, specifications, and equipment requirements for production/assembly of new and existing products. Lead and support new product introduction to manufacturing and released product support, with focus on metrics such as safety, quality, cost, and productivity.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead manufacturing engineering assignments associated with the integrity of product design to assure quality and cost-effective production.
  • Provide day to day manufacturing engineering SQDIP support in a fast moving environment, working directly on the shop floor across injection molding and accessory assembly lines.
  • Provide engineering feedback to the design team of existing production capabilities, equipment, facilities, and standard practices to contribute to the development of designs.
  • Coordinate with support groups to ensure capabilities and capacity are developed to support new products.
  • Ensure efficient manufacturing through achieving quality, cost, operating specifications, customer and company standards and requirements. Develop and own process documentation including control plans, work instructions, and standard work documents.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles to improve production processes and achieve cost reduction. Lead kaizen events and drive measurable improvements to throughput, scrap, and cycle time with documented results.
  • Understands key business drivers and translates this understanding into engineering decisions and project prioritization; communicates trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.
  • Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
  • Investigate and resolve injection molding issues and assembly processes at the cell level.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to Level 1 engineers and other junior team members.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Plastics Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET certified university.
  • 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead root cause analysis using various Problem-Solving methodologies and drive corrective actions to closure.
  • Proven application of continuous improvement principles (Toyota Production System, Kaizen, Lean, etc.).
  • Comfortable working problems of large scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Ability to exercise judgment within procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Must build productive internal/external working relationships.
  • Ability to create mechanical drawings required.
  • Ability to handle high pressures, engineering workload, and understand impact of duties.
  • Respond to metric/result-oriented environment, take initiative to meet goals.


This is a safety sensitive position. We conduct preemployment drug tests after a conditional offer letter is extended, including testing for THC.

Pay Range
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 81,190.00 - 135,585.00
