Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to support Final Product Testing, including MultiAxis Rate Table operations, and Thermal/Vibration ESS processes. This role will provide handson technical ownership of highreliability test operations, drive process improvements, and ensure robust product screening for performance and durability.
This is an onsite role in Cheshire, CT and is NOT eligible for relocation assistance.
What Youll Do:
- Serve as subjectmatter expert for Final Product Testing, including functional test systems, acceptance test procedures, data acquisition, and configuration control.
- Own and support operations for MultiAxis Rate Tables (MART), including rate table setup, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
- Lead and maintain Thermal and Vibration ESS processes to ensure consistent screening, environmental compliance, and high product reliability.
- Respond to daily production needs by diagnosing test failures, performing structured rootcause analysis, and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
- Develop and update manufacturing documentation including work instructions and process flows.
- Analyze test and ESS data to identify trends, optimize test limits, and drive process capability improvements.
- Partner with Design Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure test coverage meets product and customer specifications.
- Support NPI efforts by developing test methods, validating equipment, and qualifying new or updated test processes.
- Participate in equipment upgrades, rate table maintenance planning, calibration scheduling, and ESS chamber reliability programs.
- Promote a safe working environment and ensure adherence to EH&S, AS9100, and customerdriven requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience oran Advanced Degree in a related field
- Experience with final product environmental testing
Qualifications We Prefer
- Demonstrated handson experience with MultiAxis Rate Tables, rotational test systems, or inertial measurement test platforms.
- Strong understanding of functional test equipment, electrical troubleshooting, sensors, and data acquisition systems.
- Experience with Thermal and Vibration ESS, environmental chambers, vibration tables, and test instrumentation.
- Ability to apply structured rootcause and problemsolving methodologies.
- Proficiency with engineering documentation systems, MS Office, and data analysis tools.
- Aerospace, Defense, or other regulated manufacturing environment experience.
- Familiarity with IMUs, gyros, actuators, motion control components, or inertial sensors.
- Understanding of HALT/HASS, qualification testing, and reliability engineering principles.
- Lean/Six Sigma training or certification.
- Experience with automated test software (LabVIEW, Python test frameworks, instrumentation control).

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidates work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
