The Role
The Manufacturing Engineer leads engineering activities from concept initiation through implementation and control. This role develops and applies advanced engineering judgment, technical expertise, and structured problem-solving to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and operational performance.
The engineer works with significant autonomy and accountability, manages multiple complex assignments, and collaborates with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and technical experts. The role requires creativity, initiative, independent judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and changing environments.
What You'll Do
· Identify and implement solutions for repairing mechanical equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing output.
· Provide technical support and expertise for the setup, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
· Analyze and implement product or machinery designs for the best method for manufacturing processes.
· Analyze and interpret blueprints and machine schematics to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
· Propose and evaluate the processes for equipment in assigned area.
· Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and documentation to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
· Direct the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes for assigned area.
· Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and components.
· Provide direction to engineering support groups and vendors.
· Evaluate or monitor expenditures on processes and/or equipment.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, or related engineering discipline.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple difficult projects with a high level of autonomy and accountability.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project-management skills.
· Ability to exercise independent judgment, take initiative, and deal effectively with ambiguity.
· Proficiency with relevant engineering, manufacturing, data-analysis, and project-management tools.
· Proficient with computer modeling software such as Solidworks, Creo, NX or relevant systems.
· Ability to Addresses and evaluate a diverse range of issues using innovative methods and proposing alternative approaches.
· Willingness to work in plant, including occasional off-shift or travel requirements.

· Experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing.
· Experience with lean manufacturing, PFMEA, control plans, standardized work, and process capability.
· Experience mentoring others and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
· Experience with automation, robotics, manufacturing controls.
· Experience with various machining and assembly processes.
· Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment.
· Led capital equipment build projects with OEM partners while meeting schedule and budget targets.
· Experience in interpreting and utilizing blueprints and machine schematics.
Success Measures
· Success in this role is demonstrated through safe and successful launches, stable and capable processes, improved operational performance, timely project execution, effective risk reduction, and measurable improvements in quality, cost, delivery, capacity, and productivity.
Compensation:
The expected base compensation for this role is: $80,700.00 - $109,400.00. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential:
An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
