An opportunity has arisen for a Casbond Manufacturing Engineer working at the Advanced Turbine Center in Indianapolis. As a Castbond Manufacturing Engineer you will provide engineering analysis used in designing, developing, and implementing new processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for the project management and meeting business milestones established for the Castbond technology.
What you will be doing:
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes for Castbond components. Castbond processes include 5-axis high speed milling, EDM, laser, pECM, diffusion bonding, and GOM inspection
- Create the full technical documentation package for Castbond manufacturing processes -- MVA, Routing, Technical Instructions, NX Models/Drawings, NC programs
- Collect process data and analyze using established statistical software.
- Understand impacts of machining and bonding process to the material properties of single crystal castings
- Provide project management for Castbond manufacturing engineering projects
- Ensure processes are in full compliance to Health, Safety, and Environment standards
- Act as Technical Authority for processes within area of accountability. Act as MEA where applicable.
- Plan, manage, and communicate project activities including schedules, resources, costs, and timelines.
- Work with local experts and business experts to ensure technical aspects of manufacturing processes and digital systems are understood and accounted for as required. Capture and utilize lessons learnt. Identify, document and share best practice, including by participation in relevant Communities of Practice.
- Responsible for self development to meet the required competencies for the role. Continuously seek to expand knowledge and experience to increase effectiveness in undertaking existing and new activities. Provides coaching and technical support to others within their area of competence.

Basic Requirements: - Associates degree in Engineering with 4+ years of experience working in Manufacturing Engineering, OR
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience working in Manufacturing Engineering, OR
- Masters' degree in Engineering, OR
- Ph.D. in Engineering, OR
- 6+ years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering in lieu of a degree
- To be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Requirements:- Experience with multiple machining disciplines (e.g; turning, milling, drilling, grinding)
- Experience with Teamcenter, Siemens NX modelling, drafting and manufacturing, and Vericut
- Experience with Fixed Process Control, Method Verifications, FAIr, Aerospace Manufacturing Standards
- Experience with non-conformance management, root-cause analysis, mini-tab, and standardized problem-solving tools
- Experience with process control implementation through production system tools, such as, PFMEA, control plans, control limits, etc.

A 9/80 compressed workweek means an employee works 80 hours over nine days in a two-week period. Generally, this means working nine hours Monday - Thursday, with alternating eight-hour Fridays and "off" Fridays.
