Full Job Description
Job Overview:

The Software Analyst II is responsible for commercial software package solution(s) (on-premises or SaaS) configuring, integrating, testing, maintaining and/or supporting. The commercial software package(s) may integrate with other UNFI custom solutions and/or other 3rd party commercial software packages. This role may work on projects enabling new features for the end users and/or providing technical support and troubleshooting which includes questions about application functions, configuration options, and addressing production incidents. This role may interact with the vendor providing the commercial software package to UNFI. This role operates at the senior level and may assist less-experienced team members and participate in complex work at times.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Enabling Product Teams by configuring appropriate features against business needs
  • Provide advanced level production support and incident management for all supported applications
  • Acts as a liaison between applications supported and Software vendors
  • Participate with the other IT staff to create work plans to support strategic initiatives, business plans and emerging business needs
  • Communicate with business area partners and end users' other IT teams on assigned software package support or customized solutions
  • Conduct analysis on functional and technical performance to determine results and recommend next steps for assigned software
  • Stay up to date on software updates and release notes, determine compatibility and recommend course of action
  • Partner with outside contract resources to accomplish software projects and timelines when appropriate
  • Schedule updates to the system and communicate feature changes to end user and business partners
  • Assist end users in reporting functions and how to better utilize system information
  • Support training initiatives through end user education and creating documentation
  • Mentor and coach analyst and administrators to ensure software standards best practices are followed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline or a combination of relevant software solution experience and education

Experience:
  • 3-5 years' experience in Manhattan WMOS and or Manhattan MAWM
  • 3-5 years' experience working in technical software
  • 3-5 years' experience basic programming and DB like Oracle or Microsoft SQL.
  • 3-5 years' experience in Software Development Lifecycle

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Advanced ability to communicate non-technical and technical concepts to end users and other IT teams
  • System analysis skills that determine how changes in operations and the environment impact outcomes
  • Ability to understand business needs in technical solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced communication skills that include writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
  • Problem solving skills that involve the ability to tell when something is wrong or likely to go wrong
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing professional services, including customer needs assessment
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available

Work Environment:

Remote Role:
  • This position is classified as remote where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence. Remote associates are welcome to work from the office but are not required to do so. While remote associates are not required to work from an office on a regular basis, they may be required to come to the office or other UNFI locations for necessary business reasons or if directed to do so by their manager.

Travel:
  • This position may require the associate to travel to company offices, distribution centers, or other locations for specific meetings or other business reasons.

Office Roles:
  • Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
  • Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday.
  • Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties.


Compensation:

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
