Role Overview:

This role is for a Business Analyst with expertise in Manhattan WMOS, focusing on requirements gathering, system design, development coordination, and ongoing support. The analyst will act as a liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring solutions align with business needs and IT standards, and will also be involved in testing, documentation, and training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders and business users to create deliverables such as Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and System Requirement Specification Documents (SRS) through workshops.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technology teams for software upgrades, documenting business use cases, conducting user acceptance testing, and designing future enhancements.
  • Design system solutions that meet business requirements and align with IT architecture standards.
  • Develop detailed design documents, including data models, process flows, and system interfaces.
  • Partner with system analysts and architects on technical design and coordinate development work with vendors as well as internal development teams.
  • Provide delivery and production support for incidents, breaks, and fixes.
  • Offer continuous support for deployed systems, including identifying problems and devising practical solutions.
  • Conduct testing which includes Functional, Regression, User Acceptance, and Integration testing to verify business needs are met.
  • Create complex database queries using SQL querying language, Stored Procedures in MS SQL Server Management Studio, and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance to ensure efficient operation.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users and technical staff on new systems and improvements.
  • Develop training materials, documentation, and user guides to facilitate knowledge transfer with team members.

Required Skills:
  • Manhattan WMOS (2010 and 2018)
  • ERP Systems like Oracle Enterprise E1
  • Oracle PL/SQL
  • MS SQL Server Management Studio (including stored procedures/trigger development)
  • Technologies and processing environments used to support the Pick, Pack, Ship (PPS) process (Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, and Order Management systems)
  • Integration technologies and systems (XML, webMethods, or Oracle Fusion Middleware (OFM))
  • Reporting tools (IBM Cognos, Power BI)
  • Working with and supporting machine automation systems (conveyors, print and apply applicators, in-line weigh scales, and case sealers)

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst on Manhattan WMOS.
  • 2-3 years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL Server Management Studio.
  • 2-3 years of experience with technologies and processing environments used to support the Pick, Pack, Ship (PPS) process.
  • 2-3 years of experience working with Integration technologies and systems.
  • 1-2 years of experience with reporting tools.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with and supporting machine automation systems.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with QAD Precision/Trax.
