We are hiring a Managing Director to be the head of our senior housing sales desk within our FHA platform, to be based in our New York City office. The Managing Director will expand our centralized senior housing (assisted living, skilled nursing facility, memory care, independent living, and other senior housing asset classes) center of excellence desk that supports originators across Agency, Bridge, A/B structures, and HUD solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity to help grow our Seniors Housing platform. The Managing Director will work with our Originators and their teams to help our clients optimize financing needs and ensure exceptional service through the loan process.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:- Review initial analysis of proposed transactions
- Collaborate with internal teams to obtain credit and pricing quotes that result in new business for Greystone.
- Issue soft quotes and applications after due diligence review and initial credit review.
- Structuring transactions by coordinating with capital providers and borrowers
- Drafting term sheets to summarize key transaction terms
- Attending strategy meetings with the Originator and borrowers to discuss required analysis for pitch/proposal and corresponding assumptions and scenarios
- Keep client and originator appraise of transaction progress
- Collaborating with internal transaction management team to track each transaction step
- Recommending and implementing process improvement opportunities
Experience, Skills and Abilities Required:- Bachelor's Degree
- 10 years of progressive experience with Seniors Housing with an emphasis on Agency senior housing products
- Strong knowledge of debt placement and A+B Structures
- Relationships with capital providers and experience placing multifamily debt required
- Advanced familiarity with alternative capital providers in multifamily space
- Ability to build upon prior knowledge and network
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated and self-starter

Greystone offers a competitive base salary and bonus. The base salary range for this position is $275,000 to $325,000/year. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the annual review process.
