Full Job Description

Blackstone's Treasury Capital Markets team is responsible for leading funding, liquidity, and risk management initiatives for both Blackstone and the funds it manages. The team partners closely with investment professionals, finance teams, business leadership, and external financial institutions to structure and execute innovative financing solutions that support the Firm's strategic objectives.

The Managing Director will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, execution, and management of the Firm's fund financing and capital markets activities across Blackstone's global platform.  In addition, the Managing Director will be a key partner to senior business leaders across Private Equity, Real Estate, Credit & Insurance, Infrastructure, and other investment businesses, while maintaining strategic relationships with banking counterparties and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead Blackstone's Treasury Capital Markets strategy, overseeing fund financing, debt capital markets, and risk management activities.
  • Develop and execute financing initiatives that support the growth and evolving needs of Blackstone's investment platforms.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on funding strategy, liquidity management, capital structure, and market developments.

Fund Finance & Credit Facilities

  • Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of subscription credit facilities, NAV financing, asset-backed facilities, and other fund-level leverage solutions.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of financing facilities, including origination, syndication, amendments, refinancings, extensions, compliance monitoring, and lender management.
  • Evaluate and implement innovative financing structures to optimize liquidity, flexibility, and cost efficiency across the platform.
  • Monitor covenant compliance, funding exposures, and market risks, ensuring appropriate priorities and governance structure.

Debt Capital Markets

  • Lead corporate and fund-related debt capital markets transactions, including bond issuances and other financing initiatives.
  • Maintain awareness of capital market conditions and proactively identify financing opportunities and risks.

Risk Solutions

  • Oversee foreign exchange and interest rate risk management strategies across the Firm and its investment vehicles.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to assess current and projected exposures and identify opportunities for the Risk Solutions team to add value

Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for lending institutions, investment banks, and other financing partners.
  • Negotiate complex financing arrangements and maintain a broad network of market participants.
  • Represent Blackstone in industry discussions and external stakeholder engagements.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Treasury Capital Markets team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous innovation along side other Treasury functions including Middle Office, Payments and Cash Management.
  • Drive process enhancements, automation initiatives, and technology investments to improve scalability and operational efficiency.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Finance, Legal, Technology, and investment teams to deliver best-in-class solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in treasury, fund finance, capital markets, investment banking, asset management, or a related field.
  • Significant experience with subscription facilities, NAV financing, asset-backed lending, and other fund-level financing products.
  • Extensive experience structuring and executing complex financing transactions.
  • Deep understanding of alternative asset management, private markets, fund structures, and capital markets.
  • Proven track record managing lender relationships and negotiating credit documentation.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading and developing teams while managing multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously.

Expected annual base salary range:

$270,000 - $300,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the roleconsist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
