What You Will Do:
We are seeking a Managing Consultant to join our growing AI and Data Team. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong analytical expertise and a deep understanding of the energy and utilities landscape. You will support utility clients in applying data‑driven analysis to complex planning, regulatory, and operational challenges, helping clients make informed decisions related to grid modernization, decarbonization, customer programs, and system reliability. In this role, you will support all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions, through data collection and ETL, to performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to deliver insights to decision-makers. This role requires the ability to translate client objectives and regulatory requirements into rigorous analytical approaches and scalable solutions, while providing day‑to‑day leadership, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring high‑quality delivery across engagements.

What You Will Need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Minimum of FIVE (5) years of prior relevant experience performing data science/analytics, such as statistical modeling, predictive analytics, or machine learning
  • Skilled in one or several programming languages, such as Python, PySpark, R, SQL, as well as version control software (e.g., Git)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization (e.g., Docker)
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and critical thinking 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to simply convey complex concepts 
  • Highly developed organizational and time-management skills 
  • High degree of self-confidence and determination; ability to self-teach 
  • Experience managing teams and individuals 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • M.S./M.A. in Data Science/Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, or similar quantitative/computational discipline
  • Experience in data and AI system development, with a proven ability to design scalable architectures and implement reliable models
  • Demonstrated work experience within the utility industry
  • Ability to support business development including RFP/RFQ/RFI responses involving data science / analytics

The annual salary range for this position is $141,000.00-$235,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
