The Opportunity We're hiring a Managing Attorney for our Commercial and Business Litigation Practice, with a focus on partnership disputes and business divorces. This fully remote role combines leadership responsibility with active litigation practice.
As Managing Attorney, you will serve as lead counsel on sophisticated matters while also managing and supervising Senior Associates and Associates. You will provide strategic direction, ensure quality and consistency of work across cases, and help develop the next generation of litigation talent within the firm.
You'll work directly with founders, executives, and businesses navigating high-stakes disputes. This role is ideal for a trial-ready litigator who thrives on complex cases, enjoys mentoring other attorneys, and is looking to play a central leadership role in a growing boutique firm.
What You'll Do - Serve as lead counsel on complex commercial litigation matters, with a focus on partnership disputes and business divorces
- Maintain primary responsibility for your own active caseload from intake through resolution
- Develop and execute litigation strategies aligned with client objectives and firm standards
- Manage and supervise Senior Associates and Associates, providing strategic guidance, oversight, and feedback across matters
- Review pleadings, motions, discovery, and work product to ensure quality, consistency, and strategic alignment
- Delegate appropriately while maintaining accountability for overall case direction and outcomes
- Handle all stages of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and negotiations
- Provide direct, strategic, and practical counsel to business clients
- Collaborate with firm leadership on case strategy, staffing, and practice group development
- Contribute to attorney development through mentorship, coaching, and training
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with clients, colleagues, and the courts
- Support firm growth through leadership, operational discipline, and commitment to excellence
Who You Are - Minimum of 15 years of litigation experience, with a strong track record in business disputes
- Trial-ready, with experience trying at least 5 cases and conducting 40 or more substantive depositions
- Demonstrated experience managing or supervising other attorneys, with the ability to provide clear strategic direction and mentorship
- Highly skilled in motion practice, oral advocacy, and case strategy
- Experienced in handling complex partnership disputes with strategic toughness and diplomacy
- Licensed to practice in New York (admission in Florida is a plus)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable, with exceptional time management skills
- Adept with technology and proficient in case management systems
- Self-motivated and highly accountable, with the ability to manage both independent caseload and supervisory responsibilities

Compensation & Benefits - Competitive compensation (base salary $200,000 - $265,000, commensurate with experience, plus generous performance-based bonus structure)
