Your Opportunity
As a Manager specializing in Workday project delivery, you will be accountable for leading Workday implementations, estimating implementation hour allocations, optimization, and transformation engagements across the full project lifecycle. You will bring structure to complex programs, align client and delivery teams, and maintain clear governance over scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, and decisions. The role combines hands-on program leadership, trusted client partnership, team development, and contribution to the growth of BDO’s Workday practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Workday implementation, enhancement, and transformation engagements from mobilization and planning through go-live, stabilization, and transition to support.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, delivery schedules, budgets, resource plans, governance calendars, and milestone reporting across functional and technical workstreams.
- Establish effective project governance, including decision forums, status reporting, escalation paths, change control, and clear accountability for client and delivery team members.
- Manage scope, assumptions, dependencies, risks, issues, actions, and decisions, driving timely resolution and transparent escalation when required.
- Partner with client sponsors, HR and technology leaders, workstream leads, and third parties to confirm priorities, resolve cross-functional impacts, and maintain alignment on outcomes.
- Lead executive and steering committee communications that clearly present progress, decisions required, risks, financial status, and recovery actions.
- Build trusted client relationships by setting clear expectations, communicating directly, and maintaining a strong focus on business outcomes and user adoption.
- Lead, coach, and support multidisciplinary teams, creating an inclusive environment with clear goals, timely feedback, and effective collaboration across locations.
- Support sales pursuits through qualification, delivery approach, work planning, estimates, assumptions, proposals, and client presentations.
- Contribute to BDO’s Workday delivery methodology, project management tools, accelerators, lessons learned, and practice-building initiatives.

Your experience and education
- 7+ years of experience managing enterprise technology transformations. Workday experience preferred, or candidate must have experience with at least one comparable HCM solution such as Dayforce, SAP, Oracle, UKG, ADP.
- Demonstrated experience leading Workday HCM implementations or comparable cloud HCM programs across multiple functional and technical workstreams.
- Comprehensive project management experience including the management of budget, risks, resources, scope, issues, changes and quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or comparable project management credential is preferred.
- Active Workday Project Management certification is preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain the required certification within an agreed timeframe.
- Consulting experience within a professional services organization is considered an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Project or comparable project management planning software
- Project Management Professional designation preferred but not required
- Coaching and/or mentoring experience
- Exceptional presentation skills for internal/external purposes
The expected range of compensation for this role is $115,000-$165,000 annually.
