Full Job Description
Manages a team of technologists and provides expert level technical support for cyber threats and threat attack methodologies. Collects and analyzes system data to identify, contain, mitigate, and recover from cyber security threats or incidents. Conducts research and gathers information from global threat intelligence sources, pertaining to emerging cyber threats and threat attack methodologies.

Core Responsibilities
  • Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Manages the technical support team who responds to cyber security alerts, cyber incidents, or related security investigations. Identifies real-time complex attack patterns and suggests mitigation strategies.
  • Oversees the processes, tools and measures used the by the team to monitor and detect compromises, risks, vulnerabilities, network security threats, tools and tactics used by modern and emerging threat actors. Facilitates security operations and incident response technologies and methodologies.
  • Ensures maintenance, and enhances security controls (alerts, rules, policies, and signatures) for the security platforms.
  • Manages the resolution for new and evolving cyber threats for the network infrastructure, malicious activity, analysis on logs, traffic flows, and other investigative detective activities.
  • Conducts penetration testing, vulnerability assessments and threat modeling. Evaluates risks and makes recommendations.
  • Collaborates with IT and business teams to ensure prompt and effective distribution of findings so incidents are addressed in the most effective and efficient manner possible. Leads department support to the business on enterprise wide security initiatives and projects.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years related work experience, with three years experience in threat analysis. Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Must obtain CISSP within one year of hire.
