THE JOB

As a Manager of Veterinary Nursing Development, you'll play a key role in bringing the VEG way to life and supporting early and entry level team members through their career development journeys. You'll manage developmental programs that make a lasting impact, develop forms of support our team members appreciate, identify opportunities to go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, and analyze performance and goals to ensure business needs are met-because at VEG, every decision is made with purpose. WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Manage and scale the Credential Support Program to help more VEGgies successfully earn their credentials.
  • Lead externship and mentor programs, partnering with hospital leaders to support host capacity, program quality, and strong participant experiences.
  • Identify, design, and launch early-career nursing development offerings that support skill-building, confidence, and long-term growth.
  • Develop new training programs in partnership with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to meet evolving company needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, keeping communication clear, timely, and aligned.
  • Use program data and insights to set goals, measure impact, and continuously improve strategy and execution.


WHAT YOU NEED
  • Credentialed as a veterinary technician, with 5+ years of hands-on clinical experience in a veterinary hospital setting; emergency or specialty experience strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in an education, training, mentorship, or learning and development role, ideally supporting veterinary teams or clinical learners.
  • 1+ year of project or program management experience, including managing timelines, stakeholders, deliverables, and competing priorities.
  • Experience developing or supporting training programs, curriculum, learning resources, or structured development pathways.
  • Strong understanding of veterinary nursing skills, credentialing requirements, and the needs of early-career veterinary professionals.
  • Experience partnering with hospital leaders, subject matter experts, academic partners, or external organizations to support program goals.
  • Comfortable using data and program feedback to identify trends, measure success, and recommend improvements.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work across teams and keep stakeholders aligned.
