What will your typical day look like?Our US Tax group is involved in all aspects of cross-border transactions. Some of the areas in which we provideadvice and assistance to our clients are: structuring corporate investment and expansion into the United States, developing acquisition strategies of US entities or assets, due diligence in regard to the acquisition of US entitiesor assets, US compliance, including state and local audit defenses, planning to minimize US permanentestablishment concerns and remedial planning for permanent establishments that were created inadvertently,state and local planning, including nexus determinations, creating tax planning to minimize a corporation's overallUS tax liability, and structuring US corporate outbound investments, primarily into Canada
About the teamOur team is growing! Currently we are seeking a Manager for our US Tax group. With the continued trend toward globalization, most successful Canadian-based companies look to the U.S. for expansion.To minimize tax liabilities, ensure compliance, and take full advantage of cross-border opportunities, our clientsneed advice from our experts who understand U.S. federal and state taxation laws and their interaction with Canadian tax principles.
Our team works to research and understand tax transactions, through the knowledge of our clients' business. Weprovide detailed tax returns and other cross-border tax compliance filings, and assist clients in their dealings withvarious tax authorities. We also perform technical research of taxation issues and assist in the implementation ofvalue-added tax planning strategies
Enough about us, let's talk about youYou are someone with:
- 5-7+ years' of work experience with US Tax
- Completed undergraduate degree, preference given to those with a CPA
- Interpreting financial information, and review of US corporate income tax returns
- Strong leadership abilities to lead & mentor others
- A demonstrated team player with flexibility and initiative
- Strong MS Office skills including Word and Excel
- An accounting background would be considered an asset

Total RewardsThe salary range for this position is $84,000 - $140,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
