Full Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY

Manages daily operations of the Medical Academic Programs.

Location: Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital

Hours: 8am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday, No Weekends

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages all budget aspects of the department - balances and controls all expenditures adhering to audit guidelines.
  • Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, conflict management and other job related issues.
  • Oversees scheduling, recruitment and payroll.
  • Ensures institution and all residency/fellowship programs remain in compliance with Joint Commission, Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards and Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education requirements in order to maintain full accreditation status.
  • Develops new systems and processes to support organizational change in response to evolving Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education standards.
  • Presents at national, regional and local conferences, workshops and on-site meetings.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 3 years of Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) preferred
