Full Job Description
The Manager, UM Administration contributes to administration of utilization management. The Manager, UM Administration works within specific guidelines and procedures; apply advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems; receive assignments in the form of goals and determines approach, resources, schedules and goals.

The Manager, UM Administration provides non-clinical support for the procedures ensuring best treatment, care or services for members. Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area. Requires cross departmental collaboration, and conducts briefings and area meetings; maintain frequent contact with other managers across the department.

Required Qualifications

  • Prior demonstrated experience with process improvement or process design and implementation roles
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and database software proficiency
  • Progressive experience in the health service industry, healthcare finance or healthcare related consulting
  • Experience with strategic planning, customer retention programs, and primary and secondary research processes
  • Strategic thinking and business planning capabilities; organized and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated presentation skills
  • Willingness to manage and prioritize diverse projects & reports
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • 3 - 5 years of work experience in an operational setting
  • Experience with economic, financial and operational concepts
  • Previous management experience in a call center setting

Additional Information

  • Requires rotational weekend and holiday work

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$86,300 - $118,700 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
