Job Description:

The Manager, Technical Billing provides leadership, mentoring, and training to the team. This includes planning and execution of delivering high-quality billing information to clients. Coordinate and manage the monthly billing cycle, including auditing pre-billing, balancing client EDI files, troubleshooting EDI errors, and developing new audit controls as the need arises. Calculate and implement complex client pricing changes. Key contact for client external auditors. Functional subject matter expert on all billing related projects and operational projects with a client invoicing component.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Champion control and reconciliation procedures and process to ensure accurate client billing
  • Manage analytical reports and data requests for Finance and Senior Management
  • Work independently with stakeholders to define Ad hoc reports and Tableau dashboards
  • Maintain a collaborative team attitude that fosters creative developments within the organization.
  • Billing liaison with IT for system issues, enhancement testing and software upgrades
  • Responsible for training team members as well as developing and adapting associated policy and procedure manuals
  • Oversee lessee relationship organization in Client Structure for billing, credit, and securitization reporting purposes
  • Oversee and investigate pricing, billing and vehicle discrepancies identified internally and externally
  • Lead contact for client audits, provide contracts and detailed pricing information
  • Communicate audit outcome to Senior Management and to client audit team
  • Recommend and implement process improvement, efficiency, and communications initiatives
  • Maintain and update processes and procedures documentation
  • Explain terms and conditions to managers, clients and interested parties
  • Provide billing overview to clients, FCM's and AE's
  • Other special projects as assigned


LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Number of Direct Reports: 4-15
  • Number of Indirect Reports: 0-25


Leadership Responsibilities Strategy:
  • Work closely with the Finance department, providing feedback on billing process gaps/opportunities
  • Manage, train, and develop professional billing staff, provide feedback, and administer periodic and annual performance reviews


COMPETENCIES - SKILLS
  • Expert level PC skills including Excel, Access, SQL, and Tableau
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers, clients, and external partners
  • Must have ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (written, verbal) and organizational skills


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or relevant degree
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years of (people) leadership experience

  • Work Environment: Work environment: This position is in Schaumburg, Ill and operates in a professional office environment.
  • Position Type/Standard Schedule: This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.

Pay Range:
$87,100-$121,900
The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan which is based on company performance and individual performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience, education, certifications, skill level and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
