  • Own the development, maintenance, and communication of accounting policies across the organization
  • Oversee the preparation and coordination of 10-Q/K filings including financial statements and MD&A
  • Support the consolidation and ERP management processes

As a key leader within the Finance organization, the Gogo Manager, Technical Accounting and Reporting will partner closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to lead the research, analysis, and resolution of complex technical accounting matters; oversee the development and application of company accounting policies; and support the preparation and review of the company's international and SEC filings.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting expertise, strong business judgment, and the ability to lead through influence while developing team capability.

How will you make a difference?
  • Lead the preparation, review, and oversight of technical accounting memorandums documenting the company's application of U.S. GAAP; perform and guide technical accounting research on complex transactions, including customer contracts, unique vendor arrangements, marketing agreements, debt offerings, and new product offerings
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to interpret contract terms and business arrangements and ensure the appropriate application of GAAP; provide oversight and strategic support to the revenue team on new and evolving multi-element arrangements
  • Monitor new FASB accounting pronouncements and SEC regulations, assess business impact, and lead implementation planning, stakeholder alignment, and training as needed
  • Identify and evaluate emerging accounting and reporting risks associated with significant projects, transactions, and process changes; advise business leaders to ensure accounting implications are addressed proactively
  • Own the development, maintenance, and communication of accounting policies and partner across the organization to support consistent adoption and execution
  • Oversee and contribute to the preparation and coordination of international and SEC 10-Q/K filings, including financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A, while ensuring quality and timeliness
  • Support the consolidation and ERP management processes
  • Strengthen and enhance internal controls, including identifying process improvement opportunities and supporting a strong compliance environment


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Master's in Accounting or MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful technical accounting and reporting responsibility; public accounting experience preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent required
  • Prior experience leading projects, workstreams, or people in a corporate accounting, technical accounting, or financial reporting environment preferred

Base Pay:
108,000.00 - 135,000.00 USD Annual

Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:
Bonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
