The Manager, Sustainability Reporting will play a key role in delivering and evolving OMERS sustainability disclosures. You will combine strong technical expertise with thoughtful communication and stakeholder engagement to help shape how OMERS tells its sustainability story. This role is responsible to research and interpret evolving sustainability reporting requirements, translate complex topics into clear and actionable insights, and support the ongoing preparation and enhancement of reporting processes and controls.
The Manager, Sustainability Reporting will build strong, trusted relationships across teams globally, working collaboratively to drive alignment on reporting practices and requirements. This role requires both analytical depth and the ability to influence, communicate, and present effectively to a range of audiences, including senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the delivery of consolidated sustainability metrics for the OMERS Annual Report and related disclosures, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with evolving standards
Monitor and analyze evolving sustainability reporting regulations, standards, and exposure drafts, synthesizing implications for OMERS into clear recommendations and supporting the development of executive-ready briefings and coordinated responses
Evolve and strengthen sustainability reporting processes and related controls, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, consistency, and data quality
Act as a subject matter expert in sustainability reporting, translating complex requirements into clear guidance and delivering engaging education sessions across the organization
Collaborate closely with the OMERS Sustainable Investing team and industry peers to support alignment with sustainability reporting standards and leading practices
Influence and partner with cross-functional teams to enhance sustainability reporting practices and drive alignment on key requirements
Engage with external and internal auditors on sustainability reporting engagements, supporting audit readiness and contributing to the evolution of OMERS sustainability assurance practices
Participate in technical training and development opportunities to continuously build expertise and stay current on evolving sustainability reporting standards
Contribute to broader team priorities and initiatives in support of the Sustainability Reporting function
Required Skills & Experience
Strong reporting discipline and stakeholder communication skills, including experience with reporting processes, controls, data quality, audit readiness, and executive-level communication
Technical sustainability reporting expertise, including experience with IFRS S1/S2, CSDS, GHG Protocol, PCAF, TCFD-informed disclosures, and evolving regulatory requirements.
Strong relationship-building and learning mindset, with the ability to collaborate across teams, build trust with stakeholders, navigate ambiguity, and bring curiosity and a solutions-oriented approach to evolving sustainability reporting priorities.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
A minimum 4+ years’ experience in financial and/or sustainability reporting roles with a strong understanding of reporting processes, procedures, and internal controls
A post-secondary degree in business, accounting, sustainability or finance
A CPA designation is considered an asset
Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks and standards such as IFRS S1/S2, CSDS, GHG Protocol, PCAF, TCFD-informed disclosures, or other climate and sustainability reporting requirements.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling messages for a range of audiences including senior stakeholders.
Proven ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and collaborate across diverse teams
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and communicate insights clearly and concisely
Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and change, with a problem-solving mindset and intellectual curiosity
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, coordinate inputs across stakeholders, and maintain high-quality documentation.
High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; experience in Workiva, Alteryx and Power BI is an asset

The expected salary range for this position is $107,000 - $157,000 per year.
You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short-term Incentive plan and our Long-Term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in our group benefits and retirement plans – details on these elements of compensation are included within OMERS & Oxford offer letters.
