Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium, MI is seeking a
SURGICAL SERVICES MANAGER to join our team!
This position provides the opportunity to have an incredible impact on our patients and the communities we serve. The Surgical Services Manager will provide leadership in day-to-day operation of the operating room, pre- and post-operative services, endoscopy and sterile processing. Strong collaboration with surgeons and staff will provide the ability to assure high quality, safe and efficient patient care with a strong focus on service excellence. This position is supported by a talented and collegial team of leaders at Aspirus Keweenaw and across the UP region as well as a system functional team. Reports directly to the Director of Nursing at Aspirus Keweenaw.
HOURS: This position is Full Time; 1.0 FTE or 80 hours per pay period.
Experience/Qualifications- Knowledge of patient care standards and management practices in a healthcare environment normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing/Nursing Management or Healthcare Administration; or Bachelor's degree within a mutually agreed upon timeframe based on experience.
- Graduation from a school of nursing, valid Michigan Registered Nurse License; current CPR and ACLS.
- CNOR certification desired.
- At least 3 to 4 years of clinical surgical services experience.
- Prior nursing management experience of comprehensive surgical services and/or management of an ambulatory clinical setting required.
