Job Description:

The Manager, Supply Chain Sourcing Strategy leads a team of sourcing strategists responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives that support Arizona State University's capital projects, construction, facilities, and related services. This role drives value through supplier strategy, contract negotiations, cost optimization, and stakeholder partnership while ensuring sourcing activities align with project objectives, operational needs, and university priorities.

Salary range: $80,000 - $85,000 annually

Essential Duties:
• Lead and develop a team of Sourcing Strategists supporting construction, capital projects, facilities, and other categories as business needs evolve.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver value, reduce risk, and align with university objectives.
• Direct strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiations, and contracting activities across assigned categories.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and drive sourcing decisions that support project, operational, and financial objectives.
• Analyze spend, market conditions, supplier performance, and industry trends to identify opportunities and inform sourcing strategies.
• Negotiate complex agreements and commercial terms to optimize cost, service, quality, and supplier performance.
• Establish and manage supplier performance expectations, governance, and accountability measures.
• Drive cross-functional alignment among stakeholders, suppliers, legal, finance, and project teams to achieve sourcing objectives.
• Deliver measurable results through cost savings, value creation, risk mitigation, and contract compliance initiatives.
• Develop and monitor key performance metrics, supplier scorecards, and sourcing outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and process optimization across sourcing activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proven track record of delivering measurable results through strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, contract negotiations, and category management. Demonstrated ability to develop sourcing strategies that drive cost savings, value creation, risk mitigation, and supplier performance improvements. Strong ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, negotiate complex agreements, analyze data, and drive cross-functional decision-making. Knowledge of construction, capital projects, facilities, and related service categories preferred.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in public procurement, strategic sourcing, and leading complex supply chain initiatives. Proficiency in supply chain automation, ERP systems, and Al tools. Strong background in forecasting, demand planning, and supplier performance management. Demonstrated ability to develop scalable processes and influence cross-functional teams.

Working Environment:

This role is located in Tempe, AZ. The environment is in an office setting in various campus buildings and athletic facilities. The role cannot typically be done remotely.

Driving Requirement:
This position may require driving. Employee must possess a valid US Driver's license of the appropriate class and required endorsements throughout employment.
