Job Summary
Manages the daily operations of the Purchasing department, ensuring team member collaboration, innovation, adherence to policies and procedures, technical and departmental issue resolution, successful order completion, and match exception resolution. Recommends and executes all procurement activities, while ensuring the proper and ethical procurement of supplies and services.

Administers all Supply Chain Purchasing functions, including transactions for supplies, services, equipment, and office products.
Collaborates with key stakeholders on Supply Chain strategic integration efforts and execute strategic plans.
Participates in Supply Chain management, developing budgets, programs, policies, and plans. Partners with management to reduce expenses in equipment, supplies, and services, ensuring cost savings and value maximization without compromising patient safety or quality of care.
Optimizes the use of ERP software and other supply chain automation tools to streamline processes.
Maintains constructive relationships with suppliers.
Utilizes dashboard analytics to measure Purchasing effectiveness, efficiencies, and service levels.
Implements continuous process improvement strategies, including Six Sigma and Lean, and manage team recruitment, training, and development.
Enforces procurement separation practices in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ensures appropriate internal control processes are in place across the procurement cycle functions enterprise wide.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of team members that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority. Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health or affiliate and will have direct reports.
Minimum Education
Education - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
Experience - Five (5) years Supply chain or related experience.
In Lieu Of
In lieu of education and experience noted above, an equivalent combination of work/academic experience may be considered (i.e., nine years of directly related work experience OR Associate degree and seven years of related work experience OR Master’s degree and three years of related work experience)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong leadership, facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills to motivate and lead teams, and communicate effectively at all levels.
Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and foster vendor partnerships.
Proficiency in project management, strategic thinking, and using metrics for decision-making, with experience in multiple supply chain functional areas.
Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to balance organizational and business considerations to solve complex problems. Comprehensive understanding of the ERP’s Purchasing software capabilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
