Job Summary:The Strategy Manager will play a key role in shaping REV's corporate strategy, supporting decision-making across markets, development, operations, finance, and energy management. Sitting between the Associate and VP levels, this individual will lead cross-functional analyses, refine strategic frameworks, assess new business opportunities, and strengthen REV's competitiveness in a rapidly evolving renewable energy environment.
This role requires a candidate who can combine rigorous analytical capabilities, deep power market familiarity, and big-picture strategic thinking-synthesizing complex information into actionable insights for senior leadership. This position does require a strong understanding of renewable energy markets, competitive dynamics, and corporate strategy.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Develop and refine corporate strategy initiatives, including multi-year planning, market assessments, and investment opportunity evaluation; analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and technology developments to generate actionable insights.
- Maintain, improve, and interpret power market and financial models to support development, trading, finance, and M&A decision-making; perform sensitivities, validate assumptions, and extract second-order insights beyond basic outputs.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional workstreams across Development, Energy Management, Finance, Operations, and Trading to ensure alignment on strategic initiatives and market perspectives; prepare clear deliverables for executive and Board-level audiences.
- Conduct strategic deep dives on emerging technologies (e.g., storage, grid modernization, hydrogen), new market structures, and long-term growth opportunities; support innovation and competitiveness efforts across the organization.
- Support M&A assessments and corporate development through market analysis, economic evaluation, and scenario modeling.
Required Education/Skills/Knowledge:- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, energy systems, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 4-7 years of professional experience in renewable energy, power markets, strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or energy finance, with demonstrated impact in analytical and strategic work.
- Strong understanding of U.S. competitive power markets, renewable energy technologies, and industry economics; experience interpreting market signals and regulatory trends.
- Advanced financial and market modeling capabilities in Excel; experience with Python, Tableau, SQL, or similar tools preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex topics for senior leadership and collaborate across technical and commercial teams.
- Experience with power market fundamentals such as resource adequacy, interconnection, energy storage economics, and regional market design is preferred.
- Experience supporting corporate strategic planning, growth strategy, innovation initiatives, or cross-functional execution in an energy-related environment strongly encouraged.
