Role Purpose:The Manager, Strategic Sourcing, Facility will drive strategic procurement initiatives for facility related capital projects in North America, with occasional global support. The role focuses on managing complex construction and services contracts to ensure cost efficiency, supplier alignment, and project success, supporting Corning's annual capital budget of $1.5-$2 billion.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the strategic sourcing of capital services and construction for facility capital projects.
- Manage a portfolio of facility capital contracts supporting medium- to high-complexity projects and approximately $200M-$300M in annual spend.
- Facilitate supplier selection activities by evaluating bids and proposals against project-specific decision criteria and business requirements.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts to secure favorable commercial terms and support successful project execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic capital suppliers while coordinating discussions between suppliers and internal project teams.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, provide responsive support, and deliver a high level of customer service throughout the procurement process.
- Support the development and execution of category strategies, cost reduction initiatives, and Global Supply Management objectives in collaboration with cross-functional partners, including Corporate Finance and Legal.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and/or related field
- Minimum 8 years' experience in capital procurement, construction management and/or related field, preferably for projects exceeding $1 million
Desired:• CPSM or C.P.M. Certification
• PMP Certification
• Project Procurement Management, including planning and strategy development
• Experience with developing Work Breakdown Structures
• Leading Pre-bid and Post Award reviews and Decision Analysis
• Knowledge of various contract types (firm fixed price, lump sum, GMP, turnkey, etc.)
• Extensive experience in Contract Management, including planning, tendering, statements of work, project plans, scope, risk, procurement, quality, schedule, cost, and safety management
• Leading Capital Projects and Program Teams, understanding business objectives, and fostering open communication and cooperation
• Understanding different Statements of Work and Supplier Cost Structures, and the ability to analyze and interpret supplier costs
This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $96,534.00 - $132,734.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
