This role is a unique opportunity to work support Sourcing across the Enterprise and lead a team of offshore resources executing sourcing processes.

What You’ll Do

This role is a people leadership and operational execution role within the Sourcing organization, responsible for managing the Back Office team supporting procurement activities as well as the opportunity to lead deals. This role is distinct in that it:

  • Supports purchasing and deals for lines of business across the enterprise, and acts as a key coordinator across Sourcing, Risk, Legal, and business stakeholders to ensure work progresses efficiently
  • Offers the opportunity to evaluate processes and lead process improvement, driving throughput, quality, and process adherence across a high-volume pipeline
  • Leads a team of offshore resources executing sourcing and procurement processes

This role plays a critical part in enabling scale by managing high-volume, lower complexity work and ensuring strong operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead and manage a team of offshore resources, including:
    • Work allocation and prioritization
    • Performance management, coaching, and development
  • Establish strong team operating rhythm (1:1s, team meetings, performance tracking)
  • Train new resources and ensure effective onboarding into sourcing processes and tools, and coach and upskill the existing team to drive independence and quality of output

2. Operational Execution & Process Oversight

  • Oversee execution of a high-volume pipeline of sourcing activities
  • Ensure consistent execution of sourcing processes across:
    • Intake and workflow management
    • Contracting templates and documentation
    • Required engagement with Legal, Risk, and stakeholders
  • Maintain strong data integrity, reporting, and QA discipline across systems

3. Stakeholder Coordination & Enablement

  • Guide stakeholders on how to navigate sourcing processes and requirements
  • Act as a central coordination point across sourcing, business partners, Legal, and Risk

4. Process Improvement & Operational Flexibility

  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to support a positive experience for stakeholders that engage with the Back Office
  • Simplify processes, reduce cycle time, and improve scalability
  • Adapt team operations as processes evolve, tools are introduced or enhanced, thresholds for work allocation shift over time
  • Bring a flexible, problem-solving mindset to evolving operating model needs

5. Risk & Governance

  • Ensure sourcing activities adhere to procurement policies, controls, and risk frameworks
  • Reinforce consistent execution and appropriate escalation of risks or issues
  • Maintain strong governance across all engagements

Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in:
  • Procurement / sourcing
  • OR operations / project/program management
  • Experience managing teams (ideally offshore or distributed)
  • Strong people leadership and coaching skills
  • Highly organized with ability to manage high-volume workflows
  • Ability to operate within structured processes while identifying improvements
  • Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills
  • Comfort working with data, reporting, and QA oversight
  • Familiarity with procurement tools and sourcing processes
  • Understanding of risk and governance requirements in a regulated environment

Salary:

$75,900.00 - $141,900.00

Pay Type:

Salaried

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
