ResponsibilitiesBe part of the connection:You work closely with sales teams to showcase the benefits of Spectrum Business products. You share your product knowledge and motivate clients to share in that enthusiasm through informative technical sales proposals and presentations.

- Provide direction, vision, budgeting, forecasting, staff evaluations, monitoring and reporting on all Sales Engineering activity.
- Recruit, hire and train team members using a hands-on team development program.
- Evaluate and identify engineering team performances and assign projects.
- Conduct internal training sessions and technical product reviews.
- Field-based sales roles have fluidity between home, client location and office locations. The expectation is that you are primarily out in front of clients.
- Serve as the liaison with internal departments to resolve pre- and post-sale issues.
- Manage the requirement-gathering process and provide face-to-face client consultations.
QualificationsWHAT YOU BRING TO SPECTRUM BUSINESSRequired qualifications: - Experience: Two or more years of experience in a Sales Engineering leadership role; Eight or more years of sales engineering experience in a telecommunications environment; Experience selling VPN, VoIP and WAN fiber-based services.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field.
- Technical skills: Familiar with corporate data security methods; Expert in Metro Ethernet technologies (VPLS, EPL, EVPL and ELAN), LAN, WAN, network management and dynamic routing protocols (BGP, RIP and OSFP); Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP and firewalls; Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Skills: Presentation, proposal design and English communication skills.
- Abilities: Dead-line driven with the ability to multi-task and manage change.
- Availability: Travel to and from assigned territories and company facilities. Valid driver's license.
Preferred qualifications: - CCNP, CCIP or CCIE.
