Full Job Description
Superior Plus is driving a multi-year transformation of how we plan, deliver, and serve customers across our network. Within this transformation, the Manager, Strategic Planning & Operational Performance plays a critical role for our North American Propane Division, shaping our approach to labour, capacity, and cost-to-serve, and turning those insights into decisions that improve operational and financial performance.

You will lead labour planning for the division, build and refine operational models, and guide a team of analysts to deliver consulting-grade insights that enhance delivery efficiency and cost-to-serve. The role provides significant exposure to senior leaders across Logistics, Operations, and Finance, with the opportunity to grow alongside a high-impact, evolving function.

What you'll do:
  • Diagnose cost-to-serve drivers and identify logistics optimization opportunities through structured analysis and scenario modeling.
  • Analyze delivery frequency, routing patterns, and customer storage behaviour to surface actionable efficiency improvements.
  • Lead enterprise labour planning by integrating volume forecasts, productivity trends, and operational performance.
  • Own and maintain the workforce model, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and cross-functional trust.
  • Build models, evaluate scenarios, and conduct deep-dive analyses to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Translate complex analysis into clear narratives and recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Lead consulting-style workstreams, structuring business questions and developing hypotheses.
  • Connect operational and labour decisions to P&L and cost-to-serve outcomes.
  • Develop and mentor a team of analysts, elevating analytical rigor and communication quality.
  • Partner with Operations, Service, Network & Fleet, HR, Finance, and IT to validate insights and support execution.
  • Establish and track KPIs related to cost-to-serve, delivery efficiency, labour plan accuracy, and operational performance.

What you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA an asset
  • 7-10+ years in consulting, FP&A, corporate strategy, logistics strategy, or operational performance
  • Proven experience leading and developing analytical teams
  • Strong analytical rigor with the ability to build models, evaluate scenarios, and perform hands-on analysis
  • Fluency with BI tools and SQL, with the ability to engage directly with data
  • Understanding of logistics, routing, delivery operations, or cost-to-serve drivers
  • Structured problem-solving skills and a hypothesis-driven approach
  • Executive-level communication and storytelling capability
  • Financial fluency to connect operational decisions to P&L and cost-to-serve outcomes
  • High-ownership, hands-on leadership style with comfort operating independently and cross-functionally
  • English proficiency is required to support the full North American business
  • Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $115,000 - $145,000 a year.
