Purpose

Contributes to the overall success of Global Transaction Banking Operations by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Within this context, the role provides operational rigor, coordination, and governance across executive priorities by ensuring requests, deliverables, decisions, and actions are effectively managed, tracked, and executed.

The role establishes and enforces structured intake, governance frameworks, and operating cadences, enabling disciplined execution, clear accountability, and seamless coordination to support senior leadership and drive delivery of strategic initiatives.

What you will be doing
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

Support the Director / Chief of Staff function by:
• Acting as the central intake and coordination point for executive and leadership requests, ensuring clear prioritization and alignment
• Maintaining end-to-end visibility of all active priorities, deliverables, deadlines, and interdependencies
• Coordinating leadership governance routines, including agendas, materials, minutes, and follow-up actions
• Driving action tracking and accountability across teams, ensuring ownership, timelines, and outcomes are clearly defined
• Monitoring progress against commitments and proactively escalating risks, delays, or bottlenecks
• Supporting planning, prioritization, and resource coordination across concurrent strategic initiatives
• Establishing and enforcing governance frameworks, reporting standards, and management operating cadences
• Ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of executive materials, updates, and management responses
• Reducing administrative burden on senior leadership through proactive coordination, structured execution support, and streamlined processes
• Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

What you bring
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• 5-8+ years of experience in operations, project management, business management, or similar roles within financial services
• Demonstrated experience supporting executive-level governance, operating cadences, and leadership forums
• Strong experience in project coordination, tracking, and delivery management across multiple concurrent initiatives
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, timelines, and dependencies in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
• Experience establishing or supporting governance frameworks, reporting structures, and performance tracking
• Strong organizational and detail orientation with a focus on execution discipline and accountability management
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel / tracking tools for reporting and coordination
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate across teams and influence without direct authority
• Familiarity with Global Transaction Banking, operations, or large-scale transformation environments is an asset
